After last years record snowfall, freezing temps and flooding, We are having one of the mildest, driest winters ever. Of course this should mean winter camping this year? Heck no. After so many of last years trips got cancelled due to the weather, wedidn't plan for any this year and instead made plans for other projects around the house. I am rushing to get everything done so that after next weekend I should be able to get out and enjoy some of this milder weather...

Here in Colorado, some are comparing this season's light snowfall to the great drought of 2002. I..uh, we...uh, Joyce hasn't shoveled in a week! Some reports are that snowfall is 47% of what it was at this time last year. Not complaining. Easier to get the trailer out in three weeks (Anza-Borrego here we come!).

Frank...I think it's Joyce who sent the snow to other parts of the country in the spirit of sharing what we experience on an annual basis.

Russ I have a long memory on what snow is and how to remove it. I do not choose to do that any more IE I live in the south. Janet on the other hand was born in Mississippi and live 24 years in Huston Texas is not knowledgeable about the snow. If I here sing Frosty the Snowman or let it snow one more time, I will have to have Joyce come out and teach the fundamentals of removing the snow. Last week of the month headed back to Abita Springs, time for a refill at the brewery house. I might even have several for you

Dale,
We are headed to Abita Springs La about 100 miles from where you are I think, We will be there Thursday the 26 of Feb. We had 41/2 inches here second biggest snow in the since the sixties.

Chris,
When I finally got tried of the snow, I moved down here with a John Deere Garden Tractor That had both a Snow Blade, Snow Blower and the canvas cab that went with them. When we down sized to the condo, I sold the Tractor at a yard sale and threw in those items in with the deal That person did not want them, but told him it was all or nothing, But I still have two snow shovels

Lean those two shovels up against the house and put a sign in front of them that says
"RUST IN PEACE"

Lloyd, Those two snow shovels have great history, they came from the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad, when they were issued they were coal shovels for the steam locomotive's. Dad found them years ago along a rail road bed on two different occasions. After 20 years of living down south, I have adopted their attitude on the snow. "God put it there let him take it away." It will be in the mid 40's tomorrow
