Where are the correct bypass valves located on my 2018 crossroads Zinger 285,rl. I only see one valve by the hot water heater.Are there more than one ?

To bypass the water heater they would be on the back of it.

On my unit to access the valves for the hot, cold, by-pass and water pump are all behind the hot water tank. I remove a panel next to the bed and the HW tank, water pump and lines for city water, on board water storage and winterizing line are all there.

I'm not sure what the set up is for your unit but I think the valves and lines will be close to the hot water tank and pump. You may have to remove a panel to get access.

They are on the back of the water heater, as stated by others here. You may have to take off a panel of some kind to find them and the Water pump will be there also, so as a clue run the pump and find the noise.
Once you have found the valves (there should be 3) 1 is Hot Water Tank in, 1 is Hot water Tank out and the last 1 is to allow anti-freeze to be drawn into the water system (by-passing the hot water tank). Not a good idea to run anti-freeze into the hot water tank.

They are usually ball valves which require a 1/4 turn to change position.
If none of this makes sense find an RV tech (or a friend) who is willing to show you the valves and how to winterize.

Finally DO NOT FORGET to take the drain plug out of the HOT WATER TANK ITSELF as there will still be water in the tank that will freeze and crack the tank.

You could have a set up where there is only one valve that you can change, and there is a check valve on the other line to stop the flow from back filling into the water heater. My 2009 Cruiser had that set up.

Like I stated before, I had a 2009 Crossroads Cruiser that had only one ball valve at the water heater. That ball valve stopped the flow of cold water into the heater and directed it to the coach, the line coming out for hot water to the coach had a check valve that stopped the water from going back into the water heater (when it worked properly) the other valve I had was at the pump to direct the siphon from fresh water tank to the hose for anti freeze. My check valve was bad so I would winterize with the water tank full then drain after wards to stop antifreeze from back filling into my water heater.

Would it be possible to post a picture of the back of your water heater?

Thanks everyone for your help.Sounds like I have a bad check valve.Only has one valve to turn and it doesn't block the water to the hot water heater.Im not at the camper and am unable to take pics at this time
