We just bought a new tranquility and have to winterize the ice maker there are no directions on how to do this?? Can anyone help, we live in the great white north (Canada) and have to winterize with antifreeze. We need directions????

Others will probably post their expertise, however I would start with disconnecting the water line to the ice maker and capping it off so antifreeze does NOT enter the fridge. It would probably be difficult to flush it all out later.

Found this online, I don't have any personal experiance.



If your rig has a refrigerator with an ice maker, the solenoid valve that allows the water to flow into the ice maker must be emptied. Determine the voltage required to activate the solenoid (12V or 110 VAC), disconnect the outlet side of the valve and apply voltage

As a new RV'er, I had the same question. I wasn unable to find anything in the Dometic Manual so I went to their website and downloaded the instructions for winterizing which included the icemaker. I would suggest you look at the specific manual for the maker of the unit.
