Winterizing pump not working

So we are trying to winterize our 2014 sunset trail 5th wheel and we are unable to get the pump to suck out the anti-freeze. Do you think our pump is shot? Worked last time we were camping. Or is there something we are missing that we should be trying. Thanks for any help!!!

Is it not working or not pumping non tox? If latter , make sure the valve to the water tank is closed and the valve to the winterizing hose is open.
If nor working ,make sure other 12 v things work and then check all fuses...and switch for pump is on.

Did you turn the valve so it picks up from the antifreeze jug and not the water tank?

I was stumped last year when I could get the toilet to winterize but none of the faucets. Thought about it overnight and took the faucet aerators off. They were clogged with lime. Pumped fine after cleaning.

When you say clogged with lime..and the toilet (cold water) was ok , only means that hot side was culpret...beter clean out the water heater. You are picking up all the white crap fromm there. They sell an adaptor with a curved tube that works good at cleaning . When done cleaning ,stick a small hose in heater and siphon out whatever water you can. Repeat a few times.

Whatever little dab of water left in the bottom of the water heater is not enough to do any damage if frozen (maybe a quart), but if you feel the need to siphon it out please do so, personally wouldn't/haven't ever went to the trouble & no problems.

The siphon part was meant as a help to get rid of the crap inthe water heater ...you should see the stuff that gets siphoned out . Wasnt meant for winterizing but thanks for the idea.
