I have noticed during the last week that there 5 to 10 Rv's at our local Flying J every day.Coming back from from Baton Rogue today that there were whole convoy's of RV's headed south. In fact the first rest are in La was packed with them. The Northern Birds have arrived about a half of month ahead of normal. You guys keep talking of that strange ritual of winterizing. I just do not know what to make of it. I guess I will have to go out, and camp, and give it considerable thought

Stopped in a Flying J in Alaama on the way home last spring. We just had coffee and small breakfast. Gave the cashier credit card and added 2.00 for tip on 12.00 bll. Cashier entered tip as 200.00. Got a receipt for 212.00 for breakfast. Tolk an hour and three managers, four phone calls before someone at another location could figure out how to refund the overcharge back to my credit card. Always check your final receipt!!

You're killing me. Just came inside from the first snow shoveling experience of the season. 6 inches overnight. Makes me want to winterize the house and become a snowbird!

OK Peter I have reserved you a spot at our local flying J, Just tell them that I sent you Russ, I talked to my father yesterday, and they had snow, he said lots of it??? But he is 92 years young, actually talking about hiring a kid to do it this year, what is the world coming to. It is real easy to come this way Russ. Just hook up the Sunset Trail and come sout east about 1300 miles. Call me when you get to Vicksburg so I can have the Abita ready

Very tempting as the sky's turned grey and is threatening to snow again. I even know the route. Can I have boiled peanuts and fried pickles with the Abita?

We just bought a 100lb bag of peanuts, and plenty of pickels in stock, if you stay long enough I might even spring for Mud Bugs. After all your wife is now use to you disappearing for days at a time, just have her sister come for an extended period

Yeaaah...I could tell Joyce I'm going southeast on a campground scouting trip for late winter/early spring. Sounds better every day asI just came in from the 2nd shoveling experience of the season. This every other day snow shoveling routine in October is starting to freak me out!

Frank- Joyce is using it as I'm writing this. Think I'll stay logged on for a while..heh heh. Looks like we're in for a break after today...sunny starting Saturday and all next week with highs in the 40's. Don't think I'll see the ground though until next May.

I do not know Russ, I just got back in, (Abita Beer run) and see that the Colorado Rockies are suppose to be getting 3 foot of snow in the next 24 hours. Of course this coming from a weather man that just rank above a politican. I think after I get done here I pop one of the Abita Beers and consider what your going thru. If you are real nice, I might send Janet out to help Joyce with the snow. But you have to wait until after she gets off work. (After all one of us need to be empolyed)

Fortunately, our part of the Rockies got less snow than Denver, maybe 14" over three days at our house which is roughly twice the elevation of Denver. Got maybe 2" overnight. Joyce is presently doing touch-up with the snowblower...I know, what's a snowblower? She's now fully trained in snow removal.

By the way, what's "employed"?

Russ, You do have some interesting toys, a snow shovel, and on top of that a snowblower, wow, I just might have to come out a watch Joyce use these fantastic impliments, would some time in late July work. By the way I have no idea what it means to be employed, I will have to ask Janet when she gets home. I think it is a place she goes to to advoid putting another log on the fire, and bringing me a Abita beer. May be some one else can tell us what emplyed is Hopefully Janet will not be reading this today

Late July won't work...no snow to demo the toys. When we moved to the mountains I had to give up one that you probably have, called a "lawnmower". Don't miss it.

Not a cloud in the sky today, temp's 27 and predicted to hit 40, no shoveling to do, Joyce is wandering around humming ELO's "Mr. Blue Skies"...life is good.
