I've been looking at CF30SKP & CF32MK models. It was suggested that I call and talk to regional sales manager in my area so I did. Here's what I found out.

The new 2011 cruisers now have:

flush floor in the bedroom area, (I didn't know this) it's all on one level now (no step)

new graphics

new fiberglass cap

bigger storage area by 6"

motor home slam doors on storage compartments

the underneath storage compartment is now blocked off (there's a partion between where the battery goes and the main storage area now)

He said it's now about 400 pounds heavier and cost around $5000 more.

The following listare the only remaining "options" (other old options are now standard):

fireplace

fantastic fan

slide toppers

hide a bed sofa with air mattress

So... decisions... decisions!!! He said I could order one and have it the first week of September, they are makin 'em now!

Your comment about "they are makin 'em now" makes me wonder about my dealer. When we were looking at our 2010 30SK in early June he said that someone else was looking at the same rig (possible sales pressure). He said that if they got it that he and a new 2011 coming in another week that he'd sell us for the same price. Now I'm really wondering if it was just a sales pitch or if CR really had one on the way back in June.

Well my local dealer also has what they are advertising "2011" however from reading from this thread I came to understand that the new 2011 were not coming out until the end of this month with new packages etc... So I'm thinking your sales man was giving ya a pitch to make a sale. The regional salesmanager said they were making the new 2011 and re-designed ones now. You could call and chat with your regional sales manager and ask a few more questions. I just called the 800 number and asked to speak to regional sales manager for Iowa.

Letus know what you find out. Maybe we'll get the skinny on all this!! And maybe since you've already purchased one, it doesn't matter to you too!

We're very happy with our 30SK and don't need to make the call. More curious than anything at this point.

Model year depends upon serial number, he said they come out like the cars do. A camper manufactured in April/May would probably be considered 2011 model year. However, the changes don't actually go into production until August/September is basically what he said.

The flush floor is only in the Patriot package, which also makes the Cruisers with Patriot packages 6" taller as well. So the CF30SKP would go from 11" 10" to 12' 4". The Patriot package cruisers will have 3 steps up into the bath/bedroom area as well.

All the other changes new will apply to all the cruisers.

I also did not know you could order any of the cruisers in 30 or 50 amp service.

Actually the specs on the 30sk floorplan page show it as 12' 6" which makes it an 8 " increase in height. It is now pushing into the high profile range. One of the reasons we bought both of our 30sk's was because it was less than 12' high. I made carpeted filler pieces for both sides of our bed so we have a smooth floor in the bedroom, just one step up from the bathroom floor.

I can't wait until they roll out all the specs. Rudy the brand manager stated I will get my wish by October when they roll out a bunk room layout with a outdoor kitchen!!!!! Yay!

The new ones should be available VERY soon, if not already. At the rally last month, we toured several new ones that had the new graphics, slam doors, revised antenna, rear electric jacks(on certain model packages). All I can say is WOW....all of the updates are really nice!!!

FYI, 50 amp service is 50 amps at 240V, using both hot leads. Each leg is 50 amps at 120V, total 100 amps or 12,000 watts of power. 30 amp service is just 30 amps at 120V or 3600 watts. I doubt Crossroads is putting everything but the second AC on just one leg, that makes an imbalanced load, not good for power distribution, but then you may be right. Also, a 50 amp to 30 amp adapter works by shorting both hot leads from the RV to the single 30 amp hot lead at the shore pedestal, so if Crossroads has balanced all the circuits across both hot leads, everything would still work fine with the adapter, but you are limited to a total of 30 amps.

On my 30sk I believe the microwave and 2nd a/c provision was the only thing on the right hand leg (side). Since both the front and rear receptacle breakers were on the left side leg, I moved the front receptacle wire to an empty breaker on the right side. This gives a more balanced load and allows me to run a 1,000 watt electric heater in both the bedroom and the living room without tripping anything.

We looked at a 2011 Cruiser yesterday. Liked the new front cap and slam type baggage doors, also there was a white plastic cap covering the pin box. Not sure if I like the white bottom skirting instead of gold. Also, seems like interior colors are kind of dark, both in the one 2011 and several of the 2010 models that were on the lot. I'd prefer lighter colors for the counter tops and cabinets. For a unit that just arrived the day before, it was pretty clean inside. And for the hour or so we studied the unit, I didn't see any quality issues, so hats off the Crossroads. I've gone to RV shows and seen obvious quality problems on much more expensive rigs than the Cruiser.

I'm with you on this... I like the lighter colors too for countertop and cabinets. Would like the floor on the same level, however wouldn't want it 6" higher either. Would however love those slam type baggage doors!

2010 - 2011's. I guess I'm looking at it this way. They title those made in April/May and onwards as 2011's however they are really 2010 floor plans andoptions as the "real" 2011's come out in August/September with all the neat new changes. Unless someone can explain this to me any differently is the way I look at it. I've made an offer on a unit titled as "2011" with that in mind. We'll see what happens! lol

I love the colors in my current 2009 with the Tuscany maple. Is that color changed for 2011 models? I love the slam doors, twice as thick as current doors and much better at sealing out the elements. I don't mind the height change, they redesigned the roof profile so is everyone sure the unit has really gained height? Crossroads said they haven't published 2011 specs yet.

If you look at the cf30sk patriot floorplan, the height spec is shown as 12' 6". The '10 cf30sk patriot and early '11 models showed a height of 11' 10". Thats 8" more in height and about 300 pounds more in listed weight.

I don't know about color differences between '09 and '11 since I haven't looked closely at older units. Regarding the height change, it definately has to change, can't have a level floor between bedroom and bathroom and keep 6 ft. clearance in the bathroom w/o raising the roof. This will basically make the Cruiser just as tall as all the other brands and it will loose some of it's unique appeal, at least for me. If I want a 12 ft + unit there are countless choices. While the new height may be only in the Pat. and Prov. units for now, it doesn't make manufacturing sense to keep it that way. Seems like a different front cap would be needed and with an extra step from the living area, the Pat. and Prov. units really become their own floorplans.

This is just my opinion, but I'm guessing that there is a specific build date, beyond which any unit will automatically be sold and titled as the next year. But each manufacturer cannot start building units with new features until all of the design, parts procurement, documentation and factory changes have been completed. So, there are a lot of variables on when this actually happens and so there is no specific date on when these units begin to roll out of the factory. This is true for both cars and RVs. This is why a brand new design car from a brand new factory can hit the market sooner than a major redesign of a vehicle already in production.

mwebber78,We were at the factory a few days ago & i went into a 2011 CF28RL Patrioit i have a 2010 with a dry weight of 7,617,He looked at the spec on the 2011 & he said it was now 8300, the slide in the living room are now a few inches higher also,Instead of a window in the middle of the slide in the bedroom there is a window on both sides of the slide.Window in livinroomslide on the side was also larger than our. There was at least 10-12 2011 Cruiser's on the lot,I did like the cargo doors,They also went with the pull pins with the springs on the landing gears.I myself don't like the added weight or the height. He said they also have a better carpet now. Edited by: campsurveyor
