2011 Cruiser completed

Well I bought this 2011 26RKX Cruiser on July 14th. It had not been used in 5 years. And prior to that maybe 5 times in 5 years. It is like brand new on the inside, still has tags on blinds and the oven and in the shower. The gelcoat and the exterior is in mint condition. The windows and all the the seals and window tracks don't look like they have ever been used. But the one thing that it really needed was a total recaulking. The roof got a good cleaning and treatment applied. And than all vents and fans and sky light were checked and were fine, just a little cleaning up a quick check and some minor self leveling caulk. Than the fun began I started at the front of the fifth wheel and just worked my way around the trailer. Biggest and most time consuming was removing old caulk. It actually came off pretty easy. Than remove all the fine caulking with Goof Off. And than a good cleaning with White gas (Methal Hydrate). I let it sit for a day than a good dusting and started recaulking. I learned really fast not to apply to much caulk and don't go to far at one time. This all took about one month. Oh I should mention that I had a quote to recaulk my trailer. It was around $5500.00. Nope that didn't happen. I had to change all four tires as they were from 2010. And I also changed all 28 inside and outside to LED bulbs After that I started painting the fifth wheel, front jack stands, and the rear jacks and the step. And lastly I had some yellowing of my hood fan grill, front and rear outside lights, both receptacle covers, front jack,s control panel and lastly the trim around window in the door. I should of taken before and after pics. But i do have pics of finished product. It turned out just beautiful. And I maybe spent around $100 on caulk and $20.00 on paint. We did use our fifth wheel once last weekend and everything works just great. We may get one more holiday in yet as we are having a very warm September

Just one question--- Do you have any openings to do mine?

You did a very good job. Probably better then it was new.

Nice job! It looks like new.

I had to pull and repaint the yellowing plastic around the outside of our '15 last year. That alone makes a huge difference in the looks.

To make any yellowing plastic white again I use 4U Cleaner/Degreaser by Metalube Corp. It makes plastics look like brand new. For the plastic I use it full strength. For the rest of the exterior of the rv I follow the dilution instructions. It also works great on black streaks and awnings. I new a guy that worked at an rv dealer and he said this is all they use on there units.
