2012-2014 Cruiser hitch

Does anyone with a 2012 thru 2014 Cruiser 5th wheel tow with a 6 1/2 ft truck bed. If you do, do you use a slider hitch or a conventional hitch.

If you use the conventional hitch, do you have enough clearance when you make a sharp turn backing up, without hitting the cab of your truck?

I have a slider hitch and have never used it. We have the same camper with the rounded nose and never come close to the back window or truck cab. I pull with the 2012 Chevy Silverado 2500 Duramax and never had any problem with clearance.

2016 Cruiser 5er. Always pulled with a short bed. I have a slide Reese hitch but only used it once back in 2008 with a Jayco 5er to get into a really tight spot. I can almost jack the 5er completely sideways without hitting the cab.

I have a 2012 patriot cruiser that I pull with a 2012 f-250 super duty. I have a slide hitch but I never use it.

I have a 2016 Cruiser Aire with a short bed F350.
I do use a slider hitch. I don't need it for turning radius, but I do love having it.
I slide the hitch to the rear every time I hook or unhook the trailer. This gives me enough room between the back of the truck and the front of the trailer that I never have to worry about my tailgate hitting the trailer, regardless of the angle. Plus, I can walk between the truck and trailer with the tailgate open, and have plenty of room to open the front storage compartment door with the tailgate down.

I had a 2012 f250 that I had a slider in. 2015 Cruiser 40'. Also had a Back Rack. I failed to use the slider one night and while making a tight back in, put the back rack into the cap creasing it.

Now have an F350 Dually 8' bed and don't need the slider.

I use the Curt Manual Slide Hitch with my 2013 Cruiser Aire. Don't take the chance, I've thought I had enough clearance and a little dip, made the camper, crease the truck body. Not bad, but I've seen a camper break out the rear windshield of a truck. I side with caution and use the slide when needed. I pull with a Ford F-250 with a short bed.
