We have a new 3 month old 2013 CT29RLX with what I understand is a new tongue jack for the Cruisers.

I have blown the fuse each time I have retracted it after attaching it to our truck. Has anyone ran into this issue yet? It appears to not have a limit switch on it to prevent it from running all the way up and then blowing the fuse each time.

I know I can paint a mark on the jack post but it seems to me that they should have included a limit switch when they engineered the jack so that it would never fully retract and stop the motor.

There are a lot of "should have" and "could have's" on these rigs. Cruisers IMO are mid-level units and a lot of what you are mentioning are related to Money. The 5er's landing legs are a similar issue and most people paint/mark the legs so they don't go all the way up. It's an easy remedy that works.

I keep mine about 2" down from the highest level. When you hear the motor change pitch that is bad.

Same thing with the slide. I'll pull it in then give it one bump out.

Thanks for the information. I expected that marking the jack post along with keeping a 10 pack of spare fuses in my truck was about the only solution that was going to be viable.

Mike, you just bump the slide out a little to take pressure off of the motor and gears? What about when it is in the out position?

Just a bump on the switch with mine. It was getting stuck before from going down the road. I think it was to tight and the flex of the camper made it even tighter.
Taking the slide out;I take it all the way out no bump. However, I release the switch as soon as the slide raises upward (I know it is close to the end).
This works well for us. I am sure every unit is adjusted differently.
