2011 305skp plumbed and wired for second air. Got second air and ready to put in, only problem the vent stack is too close. Its 11" from the back of the cutout. AC needs a minimum of 14 inches. Wouldnt you think that if a 5th Wheel is wired and plumbed for a 2nd air it should fit. this is a standard duo therm 13.5 AC. Looked on internet there is nothing with a smaller footprint. The only thing I can see is take down bathroom paneling cut stack add a 90 deg. elbow cut new hole in roof, patch old hole and move stack to right of AC. Or just try to return AC back to Camping World. Why on earth would a manufacture have such a flaw. Any ideas appreciated.

I agree, that does sound like a big mistake. You might try calling CR AND a few other installers and see if this has been noticed before and ask what they have done in the past.

Your unit is a 2011 so it should still be under warranty. As Stan says call Crossroads and make them fix their screw up.

Hey Hunter, I see we read the same RV forms. Just answered you in another form. Small RV world sometime. I'm pretty sure CR will have no choice but to fix the problem. I just cant believe that it only happened on my FW. Unless it was some new guy drilling the holes. I bought the AC at Camping World and thought I would save $300 by installing it myself. The hardest part of the whole job was lifting the AC up on the Roof, that ended up being pretty easy. Then taking out the old vent removing the sealant was a snap. But when we set the AC down over the cutout, I just couldnt believe it. I had looked at the placement of the vent before and thought it would be close, but never imaged it would interfere. I already sent CR an email and will call first thing next week. So far they have been good about a few other things. Have a nice weekend.

Hey Shoe. Please post your outcome or resolution for this situation. There are many of us with the same model (2011cf305skp). I think it is an add we would like to make in the near future. Want to take advantage of warranty. Thanks. Good luck, I have had a few minor problems and Crossroads has been great.

If anyone with a 2011 305skp could go up and see if their stack is behind the 14x14 cutout and measure the distance they could tell. I dont think the stack can be moved back farther, because it goes thru the bathroom wall, I'm not saying it can't, but wall just does not look thick enough to move pipe back another 3 inches. Should be pretty easy to move pipe to the left maybe 10-12 inches, depending on how the wall is framed in the bathroom. Just be a lot of remodeling issues. If the 5th wheel was out of warranty I would already be doing it.
Will post results hopefully this Tuesday if I can be hold of CR.
