Black Tank Dump Valve Cable

I need to replace the valve on my black tank and need to know the cable length so I can order the correct valve. Does anyone know what that would be for my 2014 Cruiser 305SK 5th wheel. I know I could drop the under belly and try to measure it but I am trying to avoid doing that.

Wouldn't you have to drop the under belly cover to install it?
If might be better to drop it prior to ordering anyway. That way you can check the length on the existing cable and also see if you can reroute it to take some of the curves and kinks out. Just maybe you could end up with a shorter better working cable.
Just a thought.

You will have to pull the underbelly to install it so may as well do it and be sure of your cable length. Then you know what to order to fit correctly.

When we needed one I bought two. A 8' and a 12'. Mine was 8'.

Cutting them off is easy. Hacksaw and a few minutes. I kept the 12' one for an emergency. Fits all valves.

Surprisingly easy. Watch one of the u-tube videos. Helps. The connection to the valve is odd. Hex on mine.

Taking off the coroplast was easy. The whole job did not take 60 minutes.

I filled the cable up with graphite lube. It is now slicker than whatever. Very smooth operation. Better than when new.

I have found that a cut off wheel on an angle grinder or a Dremel tool work a bit better than a hacksaw as they won't splinter the strands of the cable the way a hacksaw does.
