Hi. Question. I am having a problem getting a leak proof connection to my sani-flush inlet. I have replaced the washer. I am reluctant to overtighten the connection with pliers. However; when I turn on the water it leaks inside my storage area and I am not getting the pressure to properly spray the tank inside. I would appreciate any input. Thanks

Hi,

If it is leaking at the connection o;f the male and female parts of the hose, try two gaskets.

If it still leaks put the pliers to it gently. If this doesn't work you'll have to find where the leak is comming from--hose parts or the plug in parts and go from there.

We had similar problem on our 2009 Cruiser. There is a cone shaped plastic screen in the tank at the water inlet. This is suppose to spray the water around instead of a solid stream. Ours was 99% plugged with material of some kind right from the factory. Whenever the fresh water hose was disconnected water sprayed all over the storage are due to the back pressure. Seems this has been a problem as stated in the forum several months ago.

The black tank flush on our cruiser plugged up about a half a dozen times. It is messy to remove screen and clean. I dicountinued use and plugged and installed a tornado flush and no problems in 2 years.

I also installed a tornado tank flush and have had no problems either with it and it works great.

I believe that cone shape screen is to prevent debris from getting into the tank. If it is partially plugged, this is the crap that is in the water system you are using.

Opps. Hit the wrong button! Just curious, how big of a job is it to get to the screen you are talking about? Can it be done without opening up the underbelly? I have the same problem, and have just been ignoring it.

I had the same problem with my black tank flush, here are a couple of suggestions I received from San-T-Flush:

You can use air to blow down to the jet. Try not to use more than 90 psi. Also you can put bleach down the tube that goes to the jet head. Let it sit for a couple of min then hit it with the air. Be careful that the bleach just might come back at you out the tube where you put it in and are blowing with air. If you can get to the tank from under the unit. You can pull the fitting off at the jet head and clean it from there. Hope this helps.

I talked with our technician last week due to another inquiry about the same
problem. He said most likely the jet (or jets) going into your tank are
plugged. To fix this you will need to find how to access the tank and
disconnect the hose to the tank and remove the clog. However, I thought this
to be very disgusting and googled the issue. Here are a couple links that
may answer your questions better:

I was able to clear the problem with bleach and compressed air. I removed the vacuum break valve to pour the bleach into the water line to the tank flush.

I forgot to blow out the black tank flush when I winterized this past winter. When I went to flush the tank for the first time this year on Sunday, I had a bit of water streaming out at the skirting but could hear the water running inside the tank at the same time. Looks like I'll be needing to replace the line between the coupling and the tank or replacing the fitting atone end. Edited by: shoetravel

I do know personally if I have to take the belly down to FIX the unit I will be removing that screen after I have installed my Tornado rinser. I have had several years of great service from our previous Tornado rinser. JMHO .jb "Good black tank service is problematic at best when not on sewer",so a good repair is required & that is mine..jb

Opps, I may be in the same boat. Never thought out that line nor have I ever done it in the past. Didn't think it need to be done. Guess I'll find out in another couple of weeks.
