Ah we just got back from camping at the Chain-O-Lakes in Fox Lake Il.for four nights. We were able to have a fire every nightwhich was good, however the rain on Sunday was awfull!

The weather was great thouon Monday, and Tues morning!Plus, watching the boats put in, and outat the launch rampis always a great free entertainment if one gets bored at any time.

We alsosaw a crusier fifth wheel parked behind us, and a cruiser travel not far from us. Both parties were not so, shall I say freindly. Upon leaving thou there was a Zinger behind us at the dumping station, Itold them about the Rally which they never new about said they would look into it!Nice people too! Looking forward to our next camping trip out which will be for a week starting June 20 th, goingto Springfield Ill. We are doing a history tour of Lincoln's attractions. A birthday gift to our granddaughter! Hope the weather is good for that week!!!!

Tuscany, when your in Springfield make sure you go to Petersburg to the New Salem Park that has the recreated village from Lincoln's time. It is about 20 miles northwest of Springfield if I remember correctly.

Hmmm, I will think up some food places that you must visit. Are you staying at the KOA?

No we are staying at Sangrish State Park(not sure of the spelling right now) located 15 min. from the downtown area. We like to supportthe state parks and the Koa's are too expensive however nice when there isn't anything else available. send us some info on eating if you have it. we love the old family theme diners etc. Karen

research an issue of "Man vs Food" from the travel channel as a starting point. Adam visited a few of these locations. I will make some contacts and get back with you as well...

Lincoln State Park in Indiana is very nice as well. There is a Lincoln exhibit as well as the farm that you can visit there.

Also Hodgenville, KY is the Lincoln Birthplace. I don't know of a campground close by as we've never camped in that area. We always stopped there to eat on the way south down KY-61.

Have fun.
