Was wondering if anyone had a problem like we have when the kitchen slide is retracted on our model. It seems the kitchen counter assembly with the oven pulls away from backwall of the slide and tilts forward an inch or so. It leaves large gaps in the mouldings relative to the sides of the counter. I was wondering how to re-enforce the assembly to keep it in place. It seems OK when the slide is extended.

I would have preferred it if Crossroads had not made the countertop so deep. There is a lot of wasted space behind the oven. None of the drawers go anywhere near all the way to the back and the lip on the right side of countertop makes it difficult to get into the camper when the kitchen slide is retracted. If I have to I will disassemble the entire counter, re-cut it and re-enforce it.

I think I would call your dealer or Randy Mischler at Crossroads and have it repaired. We had an '07 cf30sk and now have the '10 cf30skp and didn't have this problem with either of ouir trailers.

My 07, doesn't do that either. Sounds like it is definitely a warranty issue.

Thanks for the input. I fixed it myself.Disassembled the whole slide and reinforced the countertop with a few screws in key places. Nothing moves out of place now. I didn't see any factory screws that had pulled out;the cabinet assemblyjust wasn't securely mounted to the sides of the slide so it was able to flop forward when the slide was retracted.

You maybe don't see the problem. Or it isn't as bad as mine. I ask- why did Crossroads usemouldings on the back of the countertop on the slide (if not for movement), when they could have used a silicone bead like they did on the non-moving countertop?

I had the same problem in my 2010 30SK. When I investigated I found that the reinforcing block in the back corner of the cabinet had split allowing the attaching screws to pull thru. I am taking it in next week for a warrantyy repair.
