I want to cover my Cruiser in the off season and between trips and was going to buythe tyvec cover. I however, heard somewhere that Crossroads recomended that the RV's notbe covered. Has anyone heard this???
I'm not sure whether CR approves or disapproves.
It has been talked about here on the forum in the past and I think the general opinion was not to cover like you are considering. The tarp, or tarp like material gets to moving in the wind and pretty soon you have got wear marks. Another way to look at it is---- you never see them covered in a dealers lot.
By the way, welcome to the forum.
What oldfarmer said, I asked the dealer of my previous trailer and he said "take a look at my lot in the winter, I don't cover them while they are here". Welcome to the forum...keep asking questions, gives us working stiffs something to do while at the office.
I bought the arguement about trailers not being covered at the dealership, but that's like saying you shouldn't park your car in a garage because the dealers don't. I think there is more to it, like the cost, time, etc that help make the dealers decide not to cover them. I think if you get a good cover (not a tarp) that lets it breathe and take care to make it secure and put some protection on corners it would be OK. Edited by: croberts

This is what happened to our 5th wheel this past winter with a cover on it. It was a Tyvek cover from Camping World. Needless to say it won't go back on the 5th wheel. I learned my lesson the hard way. First 5 pic's are of the rubber roof. Balance are some of the cover itself. I'm not telling anybody what to do but this is what happened to me. Now it's your call to what you want to do. Sounds like the majority of the forum is in favor of not having a cover.
