Just got back from the Hershey RV show. Searched high and low and could not find any Crossroads Crusiers. Talked to some Crossroads reps and they said the company did not send any Cruisers to the show. What gives? Where is the brand support from the factory at such a large show?? This sucks.

Go read on the Thor forum about the guy that was just informed his new Redwood had been delivered. Oh wait, the rubber roof had come loose in transport at the front cap and air got under it. But wait, that was caused because they left the front roof truss out when it was built. Not to worry, the dealer says he can fix it good as new as he has already done two others with the same issue! Sounds like the crap Crossroads has been turning out has made it's way to the Redwood line. Big issues within this company right now.....

Sounds like the story about the Winnebago I posted 8/25. Or the story I posted about the Prime Time Crusader on 9/8.. I could go on also about my old Monoco Starwood 5th wheel that fell apart. No use telling about my inlaws problems with their Sunline TT. Their out of business now. You'll never convince me that Crossroads is the only RV manufacturer with problems.

Mark, I am in no way saying Crossroads is the only one with issues or problems. What I am saying is most of their current issues were self inflicted. Now can it be turned around before the worst happens, only time will tell. Even though we will never own another Crossroads/Redwood product I do hope they can make things right again.

It still sucks that they are not represented at the largest RV show. I was not the only one looking for Cruisers. The rep told me about a dozen or so people questioned him about them. It's not a positive sign of a turnaround when you are not showing a product. They better get on the ball quickly. They can't sit back a let the status quo continue. It really does not sit well with me although I have been very satisfied when I contacted them about warranty items. You can't sell your products unless their on view for the public.

As much as I love to buy American, it would be good if the Japanese got into the RV market. They would force better quality control on the industry as a whole the same way they have the automobile industry over the last 30 years. Most American made cars now are just about as good as Japanese cars, but they came to this point kicking and screaming.

I as told that the management team that was recently shown the door was planning on doing away with the Cruiser line. Maybe the new bunch is planning on the same thing. I would hate to think this is true since the Cruiser line is what made Crossroads what it is, well what it was.

But Mark, these are suppose to be "high end units" This type of thing isn't suppose to happen.
If you don't believe me, ask one of those Redwood owners.

No it's not suppose to happen, but why areALL brands having issues?? Entry level to top end. Need a lemon law for rv's. Or a drastic change in construction methods. Like I've said before, it's probably more important you choose the correct dealer rather than manufacturer. ESP's, to me, are more important than ever.

Even a good dealer can not solve all the problems that are continously happening. Too bad we are forced to put out more $ for ESP's. It just plain *&$#.

Mark
As you should know from last year, CR does not enter the campers at the Hershey show. Last year a Camping World from Churchville NY. was selling all the CR products. CR just had a couple of Reps there. Maybe who ever is selling CR products at this years Hershey show does NOT sell or work on the Cruiser line. Hence they would not have Cruisers to show.

Not sure if I will go to the show NOW!!!

Here is a link to the article on the Thor forum that Keith was relating to.

I think we can all extend some heart felt sympathy to that poor chap, and also hope that he doesn't let anyone talk him into accepting the rig.
