Either the website is not functioning correctly, or Crossroads has dropped the bumper pulls from the Cruiser line. I have looked at the site with both Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox and the only available floorplans are Fifth wheels.

There are some 2011 models available at dealerships, I just find it odd that there are no available pull behind models available of the "available floorplans" option.

Anyone have an information ?

If so I am glad we got ours last fall.

That is my impression also. It's a slow updating of their web site.

I have sent them an email asking whether it was the website or the dropping the bumper pulls, so far no answer.

If you click on Travel Trailers, then Cruisers, then floorplans, then the ct29rlx, when that floorplan comes up, to the left you will see a list of four or five travel trailers. You can then click on any of those floorplans for the info on them. Kind of an odd way to get to the travel trailers, but thats how I found them.

The title on that one says "Cruiser Fifth Wheel CT29RLX" even though it is a Travel Trailer.

So as I said in my original post "Either the website is not functioning correctly".

If they have not dropped the product line, then they have someone who does not know what they are doing working on the web pages. I found that a lot when I was team lead on IT projects.

The website used to function correctly. Last year when we bought our Cruiser I used the website for research. All the pieces parts were there, a person did not have to back into finding the trailers, or finding a bumper pulltravel trailer listed as a fifth wheel and then finding other trailers there be default.

So we are still at the same place as my original post, either the website is not working correctly or they dropped the line and tried to remove links to the bumper pulls.

Ifit is the website and they are still/and going to still beproducing bumper pulls under the Cruiser label, there is absolutely no excuse otherthan shoddy/amateurish workmanship.(referring to the website, not their RV's, two different things)

Maybe I will call and ask. Could be that management doesn't know.Edited by: drcook

I just checked out the new links. I am still confused. It only shows three floorplans under Cruiser Travel Trailers, but if you continue down the page to dealer stock, travel trailers, they show many more models, such as some bunk house units. Why this descrepancy??

If you are being sarcastic then you do not understand business in the slightest. Not in the slightest.

A person's first impression is often the last. In today's webcentric business climate, if someone is in the market for, in this case, an RV and they were told about the Cruiser line. So they go to the website, and there are no floorplans for a bumper pull. They will assume the line has been discontinued.

Or, they incorrectly infer that a bad job on the webpage, which is the companies"face" to the world, is indicative of a overall lack of quality, which we as owners, know is not the truth.

The bottom line is that if their web designers, whether they are inhouse or a contracted firm, do not do their job correctly, they need to have their work pointed out. There is such a thing as "testing", "design", "quality control".

Would you buy from a company that ran magazine, or television or newspaper ads that had glaring issues ? Or would you view the company as uncaring of their image, sloppy, etc, which will translate into how their product was built?

A sloppy job on a webpage that represents the company does an extreme disservice to all the the hardworking men and women that put these units together on a daily basis and strive to provide us a decent product and the folks that work behind the scenes to give us good service. If this was a case of poor practice, someone needs called into a room and spoken to, I have had people dismissed for pulling similar stuff.

And if it was condoned by management, at one level or another, then they needed and deserved the prodding, as it truly makes a company look bad. There are techniques to indicate that the webpage is being changed. A simple "Under Construction" or "We are changing the page to reflect our new and exciting units" can be used .

But once again, it is good business practices.

I'm sure they appreciate you pointing out their "shoddy/amateurish workmanship".

No sarcasm intended, I just like the way you stated it.

As I pointed out earlier today the 5th wheels don't show any bunkhouse models. Only listed in "Dealer stock only".

It was fixed this morning. Yesterday the webpage was different than today. That is what I was looking at.

As I said earlier, Low and behold the webpage now has the appropriate links. Yesterday and the day I originally posted the question if anyone knew, there was no Floorplans for bumper pulls, only for 5th wheels and in one of the 5th wheel sections was 1 bumper pull.

When I registered for this forum, the web site said I'd have to wait for a moderator to approve my application before I could post. I then emailed Crossroads and told them their website registration software was "quaint", and that I hadn't seem something so retro in years. Maybe it has since been improved.

Different forums (firearms, diesel trucks, etc) are going back (or staying with) the moderator approval. The bots (actually just software) are getting more and more sophisticated and can penetrate all but the most sophisticated automated registration controls. As forum software progresses, so do the bots. A lot of the forums are on "open source" software, meaning it is free. So the authors of the bots can simply download the forum software and use their own implementation of it to practice against.

I realize it is a pain to wait for an OK, but I myself don't like to access my favorite forum(s) and have the anti-virus going off because the website has been hacked and a virus implanted (2nd worse case scenerio, 1st worse case is they slipped something in and the anti-v doesn't catch it). At the very least, the forum gets spammed and links to nasty porn, or a website that will hijack you computer if you click on it are posted.
