Cruiser Aire with Ram 2500

Thinking of purchasing a Cruiser Aire 28RD (deposit made) and pulling it behind a my 2020 Ram 2500 4x4 Cummins short bed. I feel good about the weights on this lighter trailer, but worried about the height of the truck and the smaller 5ver.

Is anyone pulling a Cruiser Aire with a Ram 2500 short bed? How does it pull? Do the springs squat enough to get trailer fairly level? Have you had to modify the trailer in any way?

I have a 2019 CruiserAire 29SI and a 2018 Ram 2500HD with the 6.7Cummins. Truck height is not an issue with mine. I did install a set of air bags to level the truck out when the trailer is attached (wasn’t sagging too bad but I wanted it level). The picture of it on my profile is prior to installing the bags. The Cummins pulls like a champ. I doubt you’ll be disappointed.

I pull my 29MK with a GMC 1500 with 6.2 gasser. I don't recommend it. But a 2500 would be no issue.

I purchased a 2020 Chevrolet 2500HD Custom in August. I had to purchase and put a down payment on it before delivery due to them flying off the lots before you could look at one. I was stressed about the bed rail height. On my 2009 Chevrolet the top of the bed rails were 57” from the ground to the top of the bed rails at the rear. On the new truck it’s 59 1/2” to the top rail at the rear. I was in a panic until I got it hooked to the truck. Amazingly, I had more room between the rails and the fifth wheel with the 2020.

We pull a Cruiser 28rkx with a short bed Ram 2500 2 wheel drive. Hubby says you can't even tell the trailer is back there. We've been pulling it for 9 years. No issues.
