Hello all!! Been lurking here for awhile, decided to join to get the expert answers from all of you. Can't decide between the ct26rk or the ct29rl. I like the shorter length of the 26rk, but i like the chairs and openness of the bedroom/bath area in the 29rl. Does anyone have issues with the extra four feet of length between the two? Is there a weight difference(real weight, not brochure weight) between the two. Any other input would be greatly appreciated, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum. I think you would get used to the lenght quick. Our camper is a 5er but we like the rl over the rk.

We have a CT31RL. When we were looking last year and we wanted to get something shorter also. We had a CT30RL at the time. But we kept looking at the space and seating we would loose so we went back to a RL and love it. The other thing we did differently was go back to the booth from table and chairs and we also like that much better. In the Cruiser under the seats are big drawers that pull out that are real nice. DW uses the for pots and pans. The CT26RK does look nice.

Good Luck

The longer length will not make that much of a difference, once you get use to it. We went with the rear living, because we go out all year, rain or shine, cold or hot. we like this option if we are stuck inside we ac look over the lake, or woods that we are in. We found that the extra length we got when we up graded to be a blessing. Go with the floor plan that makes you happy

We have had our 30SK for one month andlove it. We were shopping for a rear kitchen model (love all the cabinet space) but whenwe saw the Cruiser 30SKwe chose it because it has plenty of cabinet and counter space yet allows visitors (son and daughter-n-law) to sleep late and not be in the way of the door and cooking breakfast. We love the rear living areawith the TV close tothe seating. Most of the RK models vthat wesawhad the sofa across from the door and most of the rear living models (except for the Cruiser) had a smaller kitchen. We are happy with our choice.

Just looked at the two floor plans you are considering. Looks like they have the sofa in the same location but you do have a second door which eliminates the problem with the extra bed being in the way of the doorthat we had withour travel trailer. The RK model that you are consideringwould create a problem for usbecause thesofa bed is in the way of the kitchen when it islet out. We didn't think about it when we purchasedour TT but the sleeping arrangement became a big issue for us.It's a good idea to set up the extra bed before you buy to make sure it will work for you. We traded the TT for a 30SK fifth wheel (our second RV) and were able to correct a few mistakes we made with the first purchase. Good luck with your purchase.

Best thing would be to find a dealer that has one or hopefully both and spend an afternoon in them and see what is going to work for you. Like Ajlight, we also have a CT31RL and LOVE it(until we saw the new seville at the factory rally this year). We ordered it with all of the goodies, including the insulated windows. We still have not filled all of the storage areas yet, but we are working on it!! We did not order the extra recliner as that is where the 75-lb basset hound cage goes, but it gives us plenty of room to get away from each other if you will....

I have a ct31rl and its dry weight is about 6500 lbs, and I pull it with a 1/2 Chev. that is rated at 8200 pull. We prefer the rl as it gives us room to sit and as you know the rear of the trailer gets the most shaking while driving so our kitchen does not get all messed up. Hope this helps you.

Sounds like everyone has the RL, and love it. Guess I will have to make a trip to check them out. What do you people think about electric awnings?? Read that the higher end(Eclipse etc.) ones are better than the standard ones(Traveler). Wonder if they can be upgraded from lower end to higher end. Is there a kit or something that makes the lower end upgraded to the higher end.

We love our RL for the room and the electric awning is awesome. A friend got the RK because she is short and can reach the cabinets easier. To each their own.

I see on the new CTX bruchure that the equa-flex suspension is not part of the enhancement package or even an option. Was hoping to have that on there. What are your peoples thoughts on the 8cu.ft. frig.. Worth the extra money??

I would get the larger fridge especially if you plan on taking trips longer than a weekend at a time.

Larger fridge and water heater are two big reasons we bought our Cruiser. Previous TT had smaller fridge. The difference is well worth it.

Definately get the larger refridge and water heater. Only a few dollars more now, impossible later.
