We went to pick up

our 2012 CF335SS and did not take delivery.

1. 1. </span>The bed

slide was way out of adjustment - tight on the back but off by about at least

3/4 inch on the front. The gasket/seal

was not making proper contact to the side of the unit. The bed slide is

the Schwintek in wall slide out system. They will need to make the required

adjustments. I was told that they had

not found any issues with the slide during the pre-delivery prep and that it

must have slipped out of adjustment.

This does not sound right.

2. There was a pretty good scratch on island counter top. I

think this can be buffed out.

3. The Fire place remote was missing. They

will need to be order a new one.

4. I requested a second battery to be installed and it was not.

They had not received the vented battery box yet. I will

take it to a closer Camping World to have it installed.

Except for item 4 above

all of the items should have been corrected before we showed up to take

delivery. The unit was on the lot for 2 weeks and I would think that

would have given them plenty of time to find and correct issues. The delivery

was delayed for 2 weeks so they could receive and install the three slide

toppers (ones that would match the existing awning trim). The toppers were

installed on Tuesday or Wednesday.

We were encouraged to

take delivery of the Unit with the issues it had and return it for

repairs. We live about 110 miles from

the dealer we told them were not going to make another round trip for a botched

delivery. We were worried about the potential

for water intrusion or damage to the bed slide so we refused delivery until the

issue wascorrected.

The dealer

contacted Crossroads for authorization to make the needed repairs. The dealer will make the repairs on Monday

and deliver the trailer to our house on Tuesday. I was never able to hitch the trailer to our truck so I hope I do not find any issues when we do hitch it up (hitch to truck bed clearance). We are planning a 4 day trip next week to see if there are any items that can only be found when the trailer is in use. They gave me a list

of items they had to correct as part of the dealer prep:Replace stove igniter

knob, Replace bed strut, Repair LP leak, Repair water leak ,Repair slide lights,

Repair leak on toilet, Tighten AC, Repair landing legs

Make sure that they get the bedroom slide adjusted right and make sure the seals are on there. I had mine back to the dealer as it leaked bad. Next rain and it leaked again. So it had other problems and dealer had it sent back to factory for repairs. Not checked the slide as it has not rained and I have not put a garden hose to it yet. The 4 rails running a long the slide is hard to seal. Good Luck.

cruzinfools - thanks for the info.

Was the dealer able to get the slide to enter properly or did the factory have to do it? I have looked at all of theSchwintek</span>videos on You Tube and it looks like an 'easy set up". Based upon the videos it looks like something that the dealer should be able to address. Maybe the front motor is torquing out to soon.

I have to ask - what did the factory need to do address that the dealer could not?

Stuff I have found on seal leakage:
One posting:</span>
Anyways

they have stated the slide rail can carry water past the seal in heavy blowing

rain. They stated to prop back the seals with a wedge and put a small bead of

RTV on each rail just past the wiper seal.</span>
</span>
Another posting:</span>
I have the same slide on mine. It did exactly the same thing

in a driving rain. When I closed the slide during the rain, it was OK. I had a

feeling about the rails wicking the water into the RV. I brought mine to the

dealer and they fixed it. They said mine was leaking behind the slide seals and

ran a bead all around the outside of the seals. They put it in the rain bay and

said it was fixed. Now, after seeing your post, I am beginning to wonder. I

keep mine covered and it rarely sees rain, so it is not that often I can check

it. Anyway, I am glad to hear of your solution. Now I know what to do if mine

isn't fixed.

I was at a local RV dealer today and saw two Mobile Suites trailers with the Swintek bedroom slides. Maybe check their website or forum and see if they are having similar issues. Also check RV.Net forums for Swintek slide problems, leaks

NorskeNY The dealer tried to fix it but it did not work. When I got it back they put all new seals on the outside and put a foam rubber seal all the way around the inside. Has not been out in the rain yet to see if it is fixed. The dealer did try but did not work. My bedroom slide was not out of adjustment just leaked water. The other 2 slides was way out of adjustment. I don't think anyone checks anything until the owner says something. My entrance door had a big gouge in it. Did not see it as they had it open when we did the walk through. My boy seen it when we got it home. When you pay that kind of money it should be in good shape when you get it . Not so. Have it taken back to the factory and make a list of things wrong and they will fix it. They fixed other things on mine that they new was wrong also. I was happy with it when it got back. Don't know about the bedroom slide for leaks yet.

Well they delivered the trailer yesterday- the bedroom slide is now in adjustment - the shop never called to say what they did and did not leave a warranty repair write up. They did add another seal to the bottom (that was not the problem though). They did work in the motor controls because they did not re-install the cover over the wiring and control module under the bed - the plywood is held in by 2 screws.

Getting ready for a 4 day trip tomorrow - final test to see if anything else needs fixing - rain is in the forecast so we can check for leaks.

Check tires - right 2 at 76 lbs and left 2 at 74 lbs. Found 7 lug nuts loose. Two if the lug nuts I got a 1/2 turn on them. Torqued to 110 ft lbs.
