The top hinge on the entry door to my CF 26 RKX has a bad squeek. I have tried Kroil to no avail and even drilled a 1/16th hole in it for a lube path, no luck. Tried tapping on the top and bottom of the pin and only made it worse. Any idea's?

WD-40 has always worked for me. Just have to work your door back and forth to get it to work into the pin. Then wipe up the mess of course.

The hinge bushings are plastic, most likely polyethylene. I use a silicone spray and as stated, you need to work the door back and forth a bunch to get it worked in.

I had the same problem and tried both WD-40 and silicon spray. Worked for a while but the squeak came back.

I knocked the hinge pin out with a leather mallet then sprayed the inside of the hinge real good and let it set for a while.

I then stuck the hinge pin into my tube of lithium grease and then removed the pin while coating the pin real good.

I put the pin back in and taped it very lightly until the pin was fully seated.

No more problems with squeaking doors.

Thanks all, while out on the first outing this weekend it stopped squeaking on its own, just took awhile for all the lubes to work their way in.
