From time to time there will be people sleeping in the livingroom area. I was wondering if anyone has put any type of window shade on the door? There seems to be a lot of light that comes thru it. Thanks!

Forever there at least been an insulated type cover for this purpose. I believe C/W has them with the velcro fasteners too. It does the night time thing plus in hot or cold weather it helps the insulation too. This is just one Idea for you situation.Jb

I have seen the "bubble foil" type things like John B mentioned. You might also try a piece of coroplast (basically this is plastic cardboard) cut to fit and attached with velcro. I have seen small (2' x 2') sheets of it at our local big box home improvement stores.

I attached a curtain to mine with a double rod, one at the top and one at the bottom. Then I got some heavy material and used a sewing machine to put rod pockts in the material and just slipped it onto the curtain rods and it stays there all the time. But mine was for the bedroom area so the wife wanted it kind of to be there all the time so noone could see her change at night. You could see through the window at night with the lights on inside the trailer.

The rods were just really small diameter with the holders being really small hooks to put the rod on to hold it.

Used blackout fabric and velcroed to the window frame. Been up for 4 years, works great.

Like a few others, I bought the reflective vent covers. They come in two sizes, one for a sunlight, the other for the fantastic fan vent. I bought two of the sunlight sized ones, taped them together and velcroed them to the door. After 3-years, they are still in place...and yes the doors do let a ton of light in. In the bedroom, I went the cheap route and put some black bath towels over the windows.
