Went out this weekend and last night I noticed the lights dim a couple times. This morning the converter, fridge and fireplace stopped working.

The fridge started working but the converter and fireplace did not. I checked the electric at the campground and there was no proplem. fuses on the converter were ok. Im not sure where to start looking but the unit is under warranty. Just wondered if anyone has had a similar problem?

Luckily do not have similar problem, but I would take it back to dealer first. If you play around with it they could blame you for screwing it up and possibly void the warranty. Good luck with your problem.

Give the service manager a call. Sometimes they will walk you through some troubleshooting and help you resolve a problem on the road. Another option, if you are still camping, is to see if they will call and send a mobile repair service out.

Well I took the RV to the dealer today, Seems there are some loose wires behind the breaker that runs the converter and the fire place. The fire place is fine but the converter has to be replaced. They are not sure why the fridge is acting up. But after repairs they are going to run everything for a day and check it out.

Glad they were able to find your problem so quickly. You're fortunate you caught when you did. It sounds like it could have caused a fire.

Didnt hear anything today as they have to order a converter. Also another heads up,If you ever have to remove the cover on the breaker panel, the service manager said that all of the screws on all most every box they had to remove the cover broke. Seems at the factory they over tighten the screws into the brass ferul. He thinks they use a screw gun and get a little carried away. So if your unit is out of warranty you may be buying a cover.

My panel was broken also they just put new screws in and when it is closed you cant see them. I had electrical problems with my large slide area IE the refrig. I had the worst rats nest of wires to the radio. and staples in the wires. they had to rewire the big slide. so far so good.

Derm,

The fire place and converter are on the same breaker in my unit. I left my unit with the dealer as I didnt need it, the breaker is a 15/20 and they cant find one local and seem to think a loose wire , bad breaker or something caused the converter problem. They are having a breaker and a cover shipped from the factory . I will be headed to arkansas to work in a couple weeks and will be full timing so be ready for lots of problems. LOL!
