Don't be hard on yourself - I learned what I know and purchase in a cautious manner based on the hard lessons other's have experienced. It takes these types of things to help everyone "know what to look for" when they make a purchase.

Randy and the CR team will help you out. The fabric is easy to remove and I'm sure they will set you up with a dealer or ask you to come to the service center for a full inspection.

Thanks mwebber78,Funny thing is i pride myself for being a bulldog to get to the bottom of things,But if i payed more attention to what i was doing i would not be in a mess in the first place,LOL,And i'am sorry i made that comment about RVW because i think they are allright & easy to get along with,Just thinking out loud.Think it would be a waste of time to go there or call first?Ask for Randy M in service department right? Thanks

I do not think CrossRoads would have let that go. They take too much pride in what they do. If I had to guess, and I do, I would think it happened during transportation or at your dealer. I would not be the first time some thing happened at the dealers lot that was covered up by employees, and those in the need to know were left clueless.

Because of warranty insues you would think CR would want to get to the bottom of it?

CR will simply offer you a solution. Likely they will hook you up with a local dealer or tell you to swing by with the unit to the factory repair center to have the material replaced.

Here is my take - they filled the fresh water tank and or/found a leak in a connections, opened the underbelly and made a repair. Or, the underbelly was damaged by road debris and opened up in transport.

In either case I would NOT let RVW make the repairs, while they are a low cost seller I have not read many impressive things about their technical repair abilities (or installations!). You can call them and let them know about the issue but I (my opinion) would not let them touch the trailer.

I would call first. When I was there Randy stated that in the winter thenycame take "drive ins" but that it's best to call. When I wanted to stop in during late April he requested a weeks notice for an opening.

I would definitely call first. When I had a roof problem I called and they set up an appointment about 10 days later. Also, if you call first they will have a good idea of what your problem is and if they need to get any materials they will have time to get them.

mwebber,I called this morning at 6:30 &Randy answered the ph & he looked at the pictures while i was still on the phone & he said it was the tape they used & said it did look like an excessive amount of tape,He asked for my vin# & said he would get back to me later in the morning which he did,And by looking at the vin# he said that they did need to repair a leak in the neck area of the water tank.He did apologize & he set up an appointment to bring it in to repair it right & i have a few minor thing to take care of & they will do it there also.He said they would do a repair, is that just as good?I think when i get there i might ask for the whole underbelly unless the repair is just as good?I'am gladto here it was CR because i really did think it was damage during delivery.Glad we didnt leave this morning i had the car warming up & my wife talked me in to calling first.I think i can go on now & start planning some trips,Thanks again for your support,GregEdited by: campsurveyor

While you may be pleased that it was CR I am, as an owner who has suggested the brand, disgusted at that hallf assed repair.

Randy is a good guy - if you push him to repair WITH NO TAPE he will find a way to make it happen.

All I can say is that in the future I hope CR does a better job to repair factory defects, in your case it was sub-par and borders on insulting when you are spending such a sum of money on a new camper.

tisk-tisk Crossroads.

CAMPSURVEYOR
Glad to hear you will be getting some action for your situation. Maybe now you will be able to simmer down and relax.
OH, by the way, if you go down to see fenn, he can get you good accommodations at the local campground. I think he gets a cut.
