We had the same problem from day one. The guy that give us the walk through went and got a C.D. and put in to show us how it worked. Got it home and went camping and done the scan and scan but nothing said low signal. Had to take it back to the dealer for a few repairs and told them of this and got it back home and now the T.V. works great, told them my last trailer the cable was not connected at the antenna. I will call them and ask them what they done.

I have the same problem and nothing I have tried will fix it.
People next to me with older antenna got 20+ channels while I got 6 but could only watch 1. I would like to know how yours got fixed.
I have an appointment on July 7 with dealer, who says they have not heard of any problems.

Have early 2011 30ES 5er with the Jensen Omni-directional antenna. Entertainment center is on slideout which mean extra long coax run. TV signals not as strong as old batwing antenna on last 5er. AM radio reception very weak and noisy. Been at dealer twice, in contact with Randy at Crossroads, and in contact with ASA Electronics, parent company of Jensen all without improvement.
Have reached conclusion that antennais not that good, that coax run is too long and that coax is run too close to AC lines going to slideout.
Has anyone had similar problems? Have you found a solution?

An omni-directional antenna will never be as good as a directional antenna. While the batwing may be old, there is a reason that it is the standard antenna used by the majority of rv manufacturers. I suspect that Crossroads uses the Jensen because it is a lower cost.

We have a 2011 Crusier with the Jensen Batwing. Our AM radio reception is just about -0-. Even in the middle of Houston, radio will not pick up AM. Voiced concern at local dealer, but Crossroads stated they didn't know of any problems with the batwing!

Took 5er to dealer (Dehaan RV in Elkhorn Wisconsin) today for antenna problem.
My TV got 22 channels, but some had no signal. Was told they usually get 30 some channels.
Now the kicker, I was told since I get channels, nothing is wrong with the antenna and cables (it works). I was told the omni-directional antennas don't work as well as the old bat wing antennas and that Crossroads changed because people were ripping them of on trees. I get good reception at about 20 miles from the station, at about 30 miles they start to drop out.

It would cost in the neighborhood of $500 to rip it out and change to a winegard aka batwing.
Guess I will have to live with it for now, unless anyone has any other ideas.

Something we can ask about at the rally in about a month....but the digital tv signals are not as forgiving as what the old transmissions used to be. Even with the bat-wing, camping at the same campground can yield different results depending on where I am at in receiving certain channels.

We just purchased a 2012 Slingshot 27BH with the Jensen omni directional disk antenna. Our original reception was poor.. We had max-airs installed on the vents by the dealer.. Called Jensen and their rep was very helpful.. The dealer had put a larger fan max-air on the front vent and the metal screen was very close to the antenna. We replaced this with a regular max-air vent and the problem seems to be gone.. We now get good reception on digital stations.. We are very pleased with the trailer...

Just came back from week-end trip to Door County in Wisconsin. Was there with friends in campsite next to ours. They have older TV with converter & batwing antenna. I have the Jensen omni directional with a new HD TV. They constantly got 3 channels from Green Bay, while I only got one, the PBS channel.

I was wondering if adding a coax amp in the line between the coax plug/Jensen Amp on the wall and the TV might help. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Because we have an older trailer the batwing was not optimized for DTV so we got very few channels. I went to Wally world and bought a new antenna for $30 and put it on the batwing, got 3 times the channels. Now I will hook it into the coax for the antenna and complete the mod.

The Jensen antenna already has an amp on it. That is the switch behind the TV you throw to turn it on. The red light glows when it is on.
