Completed the installation on the front and rear of the RV - they are an improvement to to the use of a tripod in the front. Used them this weekend when we went camping. I had installed the front first and used just them and then installed the rear when after I received the adapter brackets for the rear feet. Installing the rear set did help some more with trailer movement.

I will be giving the tripod away to a friend who has a fifth wheel. One less thing to drag out of the trailer when setting up.

moved the front tire back 3 inches. This spare tire lifting unit was easy to
relocate. I added washers to the bolts on both sides. I picked 3 inches
because it would give me the clearance I needed for the bracket and the tire
will still be hitting Box steel bracket in 4 places when raised.

2. The
gas line prevented me from centering the brackets on the right (when facing the
rear of the trailer)

3. The
directions were very good.

4. If
you do not have “new drill” bits – purchase some – the frame is hard steel and
takes some time to drill the holes – especially when laying on the
ground. Safety glasses and long sleeved shirt are a must – allot of hot
flying chips when drilling. Having something to rest your head on when
drill makes it more comfortable too. I used a 3/8 inch drill – variable speed
would be good. 

5. I
used the spacer mounts SJ-4011 on the rear to give more clearance. Also,
added the adapter places to the rear feet provides more clearance so the
jacks will go all the way up without hitting the T-handles.

6.
Be
very careful drill for the rear brackets – the water tank on our unit was just
on the other side of the channel steel
 I removed the rear hitch I installed so I could drill the holes for the rear brackets - what a pain.
