My first campout this year revealed the KIB tank monitor is no longer functioningforthe battery and fresh water. Has anyone replaced their cheap KIB monitor and have a suggestion? I don't think I want to repair it, it time to replace it with something that actually provides meaningful information. The current KIB modelis the M28.

There is something else out there, but name of it is eluding me. Maybe Larry will see this and tell us both what it's called. I seen it advertised in Camping world a couple years ago.

SeeLevel II tank monitor, the sensors attach to the exterior of the tanks and use capacitive coupling to determine liquid level. Also includes a real voltmeter and a simple chart will tell you charge % based on voltage. There are some other brands as well, but this is the one that I have used.

I think that may be the brand Winnebago/Itasca use in their products. It is easy to see the sensors on the outside of my tanks.

Tanks Larry! Do you have a recommendation on who to purchase from? Did you use the existing wires or did you pull new?

The system actually requires just a single wire for all 4 tanks, but running one new wire from tank to tank to tank was more trouble than just tying the existing wires together right behind the switch panel. So, it was just a matter of slapping the external sensor on each tank and moving the wire to the sensor.
