Is it normal for the landing gears to slightly slant in. I noticed the other day that one of my landing gears appear to slant a little. The 5er is parked on flat concrete slab.

I just looked out the window at our 30SK and they appear to be pretty vertical and parallel to each other. They are only extended about 32" or so.

Normally, I don't think that should the case. I have never seen it myself. If it were mine and it was that noticeable, I think I would start looking for something either welded together crooked or maybe a weld that is letting loose and allowing it to cant over. If the legs are going up and down OK then you should be able to eliminate anything bent within the two tubes.

After looking at the landing gears again I noticed I had one foot down on 8 holes and one on 9. So I made them the same and that seemed to fix what I was seeing. I feel a lot better now.

That's going to happen on ocasions and is the very reason I carry 2x8 blocks to go under the landing gear feet.
What you're seeing is referred to as myoptic occlusion. It's the same as trying spear fishunder water.

I don't think there is anything wrong with having them in different holes as long as the feet hit the ground close to the same time. This could be the case on unever ground.
We use shingles for shims at times to keep the twist out of the RV.
Glad it turned out -no problem.

It does not surprize me that legs are not straight. It is amazing that they withstand

the stresses put upon them. After I grabbed the pin of our RV and pushing sideways, I

was amazed at the movement under full weight.

We ordered and installed stabilizers ASAP.

We just spoke to an RV service person at an RV show. He told

us of the RV’s that slide across their yard during high winds. I am sure that those

landing gear legs were severely punished.

We were thinking of using several blocks under the landing

gear legs to limit the stress but were advised against it. If the RV were blown

off or slipped off the blocks the landing gear might not take the fall.

It don't matter how long your legs are they have to hit the ground at the same time. I have an adjustable foot on my5er to help. You don't need so many boards to help level.
