I know I've seen some previous posts about this but can't seem to locate them now. Outside the camper behind the upper vent door is a pc of thin plywood. Is that supposed to be there to channel more air past the coils?

Thanks!

My plywood doesn't look like that. Mine is lower and laid somewhat flat (slight angle upwards). It's suppose to help air flow over the cooling fins. If I recall, the installation instruction book mentions how it is suppose to be installed (book came with 5er). Maybe they changed these instructions since '07.

The plywood on my unit looks just like yours. I was told that the purpose was to channel more air over the coils.
