Looks like we might have an axle problem. Put new tires on before the trip to Colorado. Very bad wear on one tire when returning home. I know this was discussed before but can not find the topic. I believe some had the Lippert axles replaced with Dexters. Will be talking to our sales/parts person today.
Thanks for any assistance.
Carole
PS- yep I know the warranty's past.

A lot of people take their rigs to truck chassis/suspension shops to have axles checked. They have the equipment to align and repair axles since that is part of their main business.

The axle has a 2 year warranty. They (dexter) may give you a "break". I had axles replaced on a 2004 Everest that was slightly past the warranty period. Dexter sent the axles to the RV shop and I had to pay for the axle installation and 3 tires - both of my axles were bad and caused abnormal wear on the 4 tires (one was good enough for the spare).

Try your RV dealer first - they may be able to work out a deal with Dexter. If that fails take it to a local shop as "hhh" recommended.

Since you have an 09 I would not think you are that far out of warranty. Go ahead and talk to your dealer and just see what they say and if you get nowhere I would contact Randy @ Crossroads and Lippert and just see if something could be worked out to replace/repair your axles. As NorskeNY stated they may give you a break since you are close on your warranty, they have done that in the past. Let's us know how it turns out.

Did the original tire wear out the same way and just as fast??? It could be a bad tire.

I had problems with excessive tire wear on my cruiser. It turned out that the hangers were bent. They had to be straightened and reinforced. Everything is good now and new tires are showing no wear.

There was some wear on the first tire. Just put all new tires on this summer. The wear is now more excessive. Thanks for the information. Will keep you up to date.

I have a Lippert axles on my unit and had one replaced by Lippert 1 1/2 years past warranty. Lippert paid 75% of the cost I had to cover the balance.
