How much clearance do you need over top of tire to go to 16" tires?

The same distance the axle will travel before it bottoms the springs.

Sorry it took so long to get these have been working on a project on the west slope and have had a busy summer.I didn't actually plan the black rims. they were all they had in stock however I like like them as they are distinctive and I usually tell folks looking for me to look for the cruiser with the black rims as its the only one I have seen.someday I will buy a set of aluminum rims I suppose.

I'll get another pic tomorrow I think it may be the angle or why wait went out to check here's a couple more the closest point is between the bottom of the trailer and the tire right at 2 1/2" the pic is misleading because of the way I had the tape measure positioned it was hard to get it between the rail and get my hand out of the way for the pic

Crossroads had to change my frame mounts on my camper because my tires started to hit the floor underneath. I had 2-1/2 ins. clearance, went to 3-3/4 clearance and tires clear but if I go to 16ins I would like to know it I will clear before I buy.
