the space between my tires is 5.5in...however; I believe I read somewhere that some new models have increased space between the axels for added stability...

Cowboy:

You are correct. I have a CF27RLX CTX and it has a 15" space between the front and rear wheels. I don't know if there really is a difference in stability or pin weight reduction (as I don't have anything to compare to) but I am also looking for a wheel chock solution. The larger spacing make the issue problematic. I am hoping someone has already solved this for us "Secure Stance" folks.
Thanks
