Tom & Denice, what model trailer do you have? For our trailer, a 6x9 would cover the carpet plus a lot of the floor, where the heating vents are. What I've been looking for is something like 3' x 6'....very hard to find. That would cover the carpet and leave the floor exposed. I'm thinking I might have to make something and if I'm successful I could make some money..hahahaha. Seriously though if I do figure something out this FORUM will be the first to know.

We have the 31gr....a TT......has opposing slides....entertainment center opposite the recliners/dining rm table. The 6x9 goes from the front of the recliners to about 18 inches short in front of the entertainment center which gets filled with several dog pillows I think a 3x5 fits in front of the table. I use one throw rugat the entry door and 2 around the bed which includes the bathroom sink. Another dog bed in front of the bed and nearly all of the carpeting is covered. Everything goes in the washer except the 6x9 that I clean whenever I do the home carpeting. The furnace vents cause me to fold a bit of the 6x9 under but we probably only run the furnace a couple weekends a year mainly Thanksgiving in Penn.

When we couldn't find an appropriate colored set of throw rugs for our S&B Fam room we went to Home Depot and ordered a piece that they cut to specific sizesand put binding around the edges. We use a foam pad to protect the hardwood floors. You could do likewise for your trailer if you needed a size you couldn't find. You could even notch out the vents.Edited by: ClassicHammond

Wow thanks for the detailed response on your carpets...sounds like you have a lot of them. Actually we were thinking about getting some roll ends bound as well so it's nice to see that works for you. Our retriever's bed is a good size so that does take up some rug space but wouldn't ya know...he just loves that carpet more:-)

I was looking at a roll of outdoor rug today at Lowe's and it's giving me an idea. This was a nice brownish color that would match, it's soft and could certainly be vacuumed and hosed down if it got too dirty. You can also buy this by the foot so I thought that I could cut it to the size of the my carpet....curve included. I'm not sure how well it would stay in place but I'm thinking....:-)

Scoot Guard! We use Scoot Guard on two large carpets and two long runners in our home on hardwood floors and the rugs do not move at all. I think that would work for you as well.

We bought it at Costco Home when we bought the rugs but I know most trailer places, marinas, most hardware stores and Wally Mart carry it. You might check with a furniture store or carpet place for bigger pieces.
