We purchased our 08 CF31QB back in January and have a sewer smell in the 1/2 bath, I climbed on the roof and can only find one sewer vent towards the front. I would assume that it is for the black tank for the toilet up front. Since there is no vent towards the rear, I looked under the sink and there is a studor vent. Does anyone have any experience with these? Are they the same as I can purchase at Lowe's or Home Depot? Are they prone to go bad? From what I can find out about studor vents they are only supposed to let air flow in and not out. I would think even with this type vent, any gas buildup would come into the camper when the toilet is flushed. Not a good design, looks like it would have been simple to run a vent stack to the roof beside the refrigerator.

The Studor vent or "in-line vent" is the same as what you see at H.D. and no they are not prone to go bad unless the spring/rubber seal fails. If you have a fan on, that might suck fumes into the bathroom when you flush. Try keeping a window slightly open.
