Sewer smell

We have a sewer smell coming into camper when we run the air. It seems to be pressurizing the cabin and pulling the smell from under the sink in the bathroom and the kitchen sink. We do not get this smell when the air is not running. There does not seem to be an issue with any traps. Would the vents under the bathroom sink and kitchen sink create a smell as we assume they are vented from the gray tank?

There's a valve under the sinks that often go bad. Many people have said they replace them with a higher end valve as a precaution. I don't know what they're called, but you can either do a search on this forum or wait, as I know someone will respond regarding them. They sound easy to replace.

Thank you. We are going to try and switch out the vents and see if that helps.

I believe it is a p valve pop-up. Available at HD or Lowe's.

Studor is one name brand. Generically, they are "air admittance valves."

The vent is the anti-siphon trap vent device. These are used as a secondary vent to aid in draining sink fixtures. Also called “check vents,” ASTVDs allow air into the drainage system, but prohibit air from passing out of the system. When they go bad the let the smell into the rv.
