Smile Skylight

Does anyone know if it's possible to put in a skylight of sorts (don't need it to vent) in the living area or our 2012 Cruiser 27RKX Fifth Wheel. If so, do you see any problems doing this? The living area is dark during the day and sometimes have to have the interior lights on, even though the sun is shining.

I would certainly think it could be done. If you feel comfortable doing it. If not your dealer should be able to. It shouldn't be any different then any other hole that's in the roof.
Ours is pretty dark also. I took the valances off the windows and that enlarged the area around the windows allowing more light in.

Keep in mind that if you are camping in a non-shaded area and it it hot and sunny, you will get a lot of extra heat coming in. This could be unwanted heat. We have one skylight, over the shower, and I have covered it up for this reason. I took the interior panel down and put a piece of Reflextic in there and no more skylight.

Also, every hole you put into the roof is just more caulking to check and touch up when needed.

How do you change the title under my name? It says new camper, and I am not a new camper.

It has to do with how many post you make to the forum. It has no reflection on your experience as a camper.

We are not weekend campers. We take it to Florida for the winter, we go to week-long music festivals, go for weekend camp outs and we take long trips. We are not full time, but we do use it a lot.

I asked the same question about the "status" and got this response from Support Admin:

It's a lighthearted recognition of member participation based on the number of posts.

They are called User Titles.

New Camper 0
Weekend Camper 10
Family Vacation Member 100
Seasonal Camper 250
Full Time Camper 500

So, it looks like you will be a weekend camper soon. I hope this helps.

We love country music festivals. Have been going to one in Ohio called the country concert. It's a great time. And have been going to one near Peterborough in canada called havelock jamboree for about 13 years.

We have not been to the Havelock festival, but have heard of it. We never miss the Pembroke one the week before Labor Day, however.
