What are your experiences with filling the new air-mattress bed????

We do love our 09 CF30SK but now for the first time we are attempting to learn how to use the air mattress. There is an indention in the side of the mattress which appears to be a location for the pump to be inserted. There is a one-way check valve which looks like the inflation port where one would insert the pump. There are no adaptersalthough adapters are shown in the instructions and I can't get the pump in far enough. There is a port with a screw on cap on it near the same location. It is possible to insert the pump inflation nozzle into it and fill the mattress. When finished, one must remove the pump; plug the port until you can get the cap replaced without much of the air coming out. Is this Mickey Mouse or is it just me? I do have a call in to CR for an answer.Edited by: jjriff

I had a hard time with the pump. DH justgave it a good shove so it snapped into the holder and inflated like it should. I left thepump in used the other ports to deflate. Seems like the best way to do this.

The pump just twist into the hole of the bed. There are two of them. One at the head and one at the bottom. Either hole will work. Takes about three minutes to inflate.Actually it workspretty good. I thought the same thing at first (MM). When you are done with it you just open the cap and it deflates fast. Daughter said it slept much better than the old hide a bed.

Good Luck

This is the same way my 2009 works. The bed is actually of really high quality and works nicely. The pump fitting is the same I have had on another air-bed so I was familiar with it. I have had my brother/SIL over a few times and they claim the air-bed sleeps as good as thier home mattress.

My 2009 air mattress has a pump that is built in and non removable from the mattress. I've also been told it was comfortable.

My 09 Cruiser has a removable pump that twist and locks as mwebber78 stated.Works well except I have junk in the drawer under the sofa and have to put the mattress back under the main bed when done with it.I plan on fixing that some day.
