I have never dealt with a hitch issue till now as I am still holding to my first RV truck that came with a hitch.
Planning now to trade my truck for a diesel short bed and want to install a Super Glide Hitch.
How do I chose the right one ,as they come in 14K,18K and 24K?
Thank you.

Get one that matches or exceeds the weight of your trailer and load. If you areover, always go to the next higher rating.

My CF29CK GVWR is 11874 so a 14K Super Glide Hitch will do?
Thanks

I don't have a Super Glide, but I would think the following would hold true. I purchased the 18k Reese because it only costed about $150 more, had more features, bigger restate and better re-sale value down the road. The market for a 18k is far greater than a 14k. Good luck.

I have a short wheel base dodge, and if I had to get a hitch today I would get the Super glide. Most of time you will not need it except on making 90 degree turns or turning the unit sharp going down a slope

We have a short bed with a manual Reese slider. Made some pretty sharp turns but never had to use the slider.

This has always been a "burning issue." We have a Chevy 2500, short box, but we don't have a slider. We've never had a problem turning around anywhere, and I know that we've exceeded 90 degrees, maybe even 100 degrees.

Will the configuration of the nose of this new unit change that for us? I'm not worried about getting it home since it's a straight shot into my driveway when backing up. But we all know what can happen out on the road!

I have the new body style GM 2500 HD with the standard bed. I have a 16K Reese manual round tube slider hitch. My trailer is a 2009 with the newly changed nose with cut-outs on the sides for turning.

Went from Maine to NM and everywhere in between on the ride. NEVER needed the slider.
