Thermostat Problems

Just got my new 2017 CR29SI 5th Wheel home from the dealer. Have not even reported this problem to Warranty Dept yet, Hope one of you can help? Thermostat works great for Air Conditioner with on electric plugged in, but when I turn on propane, after a few minutes the heat come on uncontrolled and I can't turn it off, have to shut off propane to stop heat. Have read manual cover to cover ... don't know what to do.. what say all of you?

Thanks

Cliff

Welcome to the forum. The heat comes on when it's not switched to heat on thermostat?

Ours is an older camper but it has a selector switch on the bottom of the thermostat that selects heat or AC. Sounds like yours doesn't even have to be on heat for the furnace to come on?

Our home system did what you describe when they first installed the ground source system. Thermostat was defective.

Do you have a Dometic digital thermostat, if so you might need to replace it...Dometic had a bunch of them go bad...I had to replace one in my 5th wheel...
