vinyl flooring? ; heat resistant for Arizona full time

We leave our 2008 29CK (3 slides) in Arizona all year, staying in it only during the winter months. We want to replace our carpet with something easier to clean, like vinyl planking. In our park, many people have had trouble with their laminate flooring in park models buckling when they do not keep their unit air conditioned during the summer.
Does anyone have any experience with installing new RV flooring in a desert environment in an unairconditioned RV?

Home Depot flooring specialist here. The only vinyl flooring you should consider putting down is sheet vinyl. Anything else will sooner or later fail - including peel and stick, floating, etc. Floating is OK-ish if you're not moving, but the temperature heave when it's unoccupied will cause the locking sections to break. No Bueno.

Did mine three years ago. Not a problem. Stored in South Texas. Not as hot but hot.
Hardest part is doing the slides and removing the old carpet. Thousands of staples.

I don't see why you can't put glue down vinyl planks. No movement when flexing down the road. It should stay put.

Because the intense heat liquifies the glue enough that the planks lift themselves up when they expand due to that same heat. Dirt gets under and causes the glue to fail.

The planks I used and most i looked at including those in my house are not designed to be glued down. The interlocking and flexible floating design is what make them work.
You dont even glue vinyl planks to a concrete floor.

If you purchase the correct glue for Rv's it will not let the planks lift like you stated.

This is the response from Etrailer that sells the product.

Hello,

Thank you for your email.

It is recommended that flooring adhesive be stored in warm and dry conditions prior to installing. If you're referring to adhesive already placed on the floor, it will be able to take summer heats and even the type of adhesive that comes up with heat, requires the use of a heat gun and a surface temp of 212 F minimum.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me directly.

Thank you,

Noah G.
