Just mounted our 26" Vizio LCD tv to the wall mount. The screws the hold our tv on the mounting bracket are metric (m4) which is pretty small. My question is: can the tv stay on the wall when traveling or is it better to take down?

Good question there. Did you put any extrabracing behind the wall where the bracket is? If not I wouldn't travel with it attached to the wall until I had good wood to anchor it to...............Dave

I did this exact mod almost 1-year ago. I ordered the trailer without the tv, but they left the mounting bracket installed. I purchased a universal flat screen mount from Menards, and had to move the mounting bracket up about 8-10 inches in order to center the 26" vizio. Luckily, Crossroads must have run the support down to the tv so I had no issues finding solid wood. After locking the tv in with the locking screw(had to drill hole in top of center to access), all was good. For extra insurance, I took a expandable closet rod, wrapped it with pipe insulation and install it diagnally and twist until tight. So far so good.

If you strap it for moving you should not have a problem.

Thanks for the replies. I should have clarified my original question a little better. We have a 2008 cf30sk. The wall bracket for mounting the tv was already in place when we got the rv. I'm just concerned that with the bouncing while traveling it might stress the screws or the bracket too much. By the way the 26" Vizio fits just perfect.

I didn't trust the factory mount with the larger tv, plus I could not get the tv all of the way in on my CT31RL, so that is why I upgraded the bracket. It would not make for a good camping weekend if the vizio decided to take a leap of faith....
