Al, if I get a regular suspension on our next unit it will have a wet bolt kit and the Never-Fail bushings.

The "stock" bushings in the end of the spring are made of plastic. This is the first fifth wheel that I had the wet bolt kit installed in it. The bushings with the kit are made of bronze. Figured it could not hurt to have the wet bolt kit installed. Dealer charged 1 1/2 hours labor to install the kit.

<div ="prod-detail-desc"="">Also, the shackle brackets are stronger, more
durable brackets than standard 1/4 inch brackets.

Ordered the kit from Lippert.

If you install that, you will think the trailer came unhooked. No more squeaking back there.
I installed it on ours and it sure did quiet it down. Plus those plastic bushings it comes with are usually shot in about a year if you do any traveling.

It's a good mod, well worth it.

X3 (or is it X4), I got mine as soon as I bought the rig. Didn't want to wait till the cheap plastic bushings wore out. Got my kit from Dexter.

Took some to show the zirc locations. Also I have some that someone else posted.

Mine did not come out real clear but you can see the zerks. Just got back from a trip out west and need to wash the RV yet.

One I found on the net and describe how the bolting on our EquaFlex is different. I still need to add the angled grease fittings.

Pics of mine:

Zerks are on the end of the shackle too.

Kit:

The bolts have a hole drilled through them. The holes need to be at the 3 & 9 o'clock position when installed - easier to grease with a load on the shackles.

Probably saved the pictures from your posting - questions about wet bolt kits seem to come up once in a while.
