2021 Zinger 280RB Power Cord

Hello!

New Zinger owner here. I recently purchased a 2021 Zinger 280RB.

For some reason the 50A twist lock connection appears to be installed incorrectly because the connection doesn’t drop down in a vertically, but rather hooks to the right. As you can see from the photos, there could also be an opportunity for water to enter from the strain relief boot.

Simply wondering if I can take the 50A receptacle apart and rotate the connection 90 degrees?

Any guidance is appreciated.

I guess it wouldn't bother me to take it apart if it were mine. I think you a right that they must have messed up on the install at the factory. It should be a simple fix.

As you are probable aware of----make sure you are not plugged in to electric when you tackle it.
Good luck. Let us know how it goes.

Welcome aboard and congrats on that new rig.

Hello and welcome.

I agree it would no harm to check. That cord end looks unusual. I tried looking for one like that but could not find one. Looks like it is a replacement end. Good luck and let us know.

Thank you for the quick replies and guidance. I am going to take a crack at it this weekend to see what can be done. I will take a picture of the male connection for you to see. Simply hoping I can rotate that male connection 90 degrees or so.

I have a 2019 Sunset Trail and my 50 amp plug is the same way. I haven't had any problems with it so far.
