A real Zinger

New to owning a camper. My wife and I grew up camping and recently purchased a 2012 crossroads zinger.. we are both very happy with the product, except for the rear axel and rear passenger side tire is very worn. I pulled wheel off and replaced bearings thinking they were bad. Towed it up to campground and even before we could make it to the highway somebody flagged us down and said rear axel looked horrible.. called dealership and we are beginning to get the run around with them and we haven't owned it 30 days yet and this weekend is going to be our first weekend in it. Any help or comments appreciated

Lippert axles are warrantied for 1 year only. We replaced bearings on the passenger rear 3 times only to find that the axle was bad. On the final failure, the hub cracked leaking grease that almost caused a fire. We complained to Crossroads but we had to pay for the faulty axle. No problems with the front axle. Not how we planned on spending a grand. We like the Zinger fine but hate that the factory took no responsibility for the less than 2 year old axle. Good luck.

I'm guessing since you just purchased it and it's a 2012 that it is a used trailer. Unfortunately that means any existing factory warranty would be null and void as they apply to original owner only. The original factory warranty would have been one or two years only. Do you have an extended warranty that will cover it? Or any kind of guarantee from the dealer (unfortunately this is not likely). It sucks but you are likely on your own getting this one fixed. Best of luck to you.
