Cpap and AC

So I know we are going into winter and this is an odd question at this time of year. However my wife has a CPAP machine and I was wondering in the summer how I would use it and the AC at the same time. I have a 2015 Zinger 28BH. I have heard you can not run anything while the AC is running, even if you are plugged in. Any help would be wonderful. Thank you Brian

I don’t see any problem with a crap machine while the AC is running. You of course will have to be plugged into shore power but shouldn’t be a problem.

A cpap is a fairly heavy user of power.

The problem is it is likely 12 volt. Thus if you plug it into the ac system obviously you need the inverter on. A big waster of energy. Then the converter built into the cpap then wastes energy again converting ac to dc.

Most of the Cpap machines have an available 12 volt cord(pricey). I had the factory put a 12 volt plug installed in the bedroom. Uses about 30 AH of dc per night. It would use nearly double that running on an inverter.

Likely for the cost of the $10 plug you can not be concerned.

We were out west in the Moab area boondocking in October. Really worked well. I ran the Honda 2200 once a day at dinner. The DW used the convection oven. I recharged the batteries for an hour or more. Really worked well. We did not need air conditioning.

Be careful. If you run the converter in bulk mode that could interfere with the ac when using a small generator.

wow.. lots of money just for a CPAP machine shelf.

I purchased a 12vdc cord for my CPAP and ran direct to batteries. Just to much power used to run inverter and convert back to 12v.
I still leave inverted on all night but no CPAP through it. Inverter that charges phone and laptops all night. It draws about 6.6amp according to my shunt.

My husband uses a CPAP and it isn't any problem at all.
