Don't know what you mean by tube size. The electric tongue jacks are a complete bolt-on assembly. Most are rated around 3,000 pounds. The only one I am familiar with is the Atwood model. Had one on a Dutchman and a Sprinter TT. Worked great.

I am shopping for a Barker, but they come in two sizes. 2"and 2 1/4" Its the size of the hole in the "A" frame the jack installs down through. I would like to get the 3500lbs 24" long jack, but it only comes in 2 1/4" I need to know the hole size on the tongue of the TT.

If the 2" Barker is rated at 3,000 lbs, it would have plenty of power for your TT.

bigdave,

I replaced my tongue jack with a Barker. I went with the 2" dia. tube. I could have went with the 2 1/4" tube no problem, the hole was plenty large enough. Im assuming that CR uses the same type tongues on every trailer, it wouldnt make sense to have different sizes in the factory using common sense, plus it would make for a confusing assembly line IMO.

If it were me and I wanted the 2 1/4" I would get it because CR isnt going to use two different sized holes for their tongues. Just my opinion.

Thank you fixit, that is what I needed to know, the size of the hole. I was hoping to go with the Barker with the longer shaft / lift. 24"versus 18". Barker only has one 24" jack and it only comes in 2 1/4" hole size. With the 24" jack, I may not need to have blocks of wood under the jack when I park the TT in my driveway, which has a slight downward slope.
