Newbie with a water heater question

Hello all! We have a 2016 Z 225rb that has a water heater with gas/electric. When we use the electric for heating the light on the panel stays on all the time. Is this normal? Our last RV would only stay on while it was heating. When I emailed Atwood my response back was that it depends on the switch that they used!!! So I am reaching out hoping to get a better answer from he folks who actually can tell me what theirs do when using electric. Gas side works great and light does go off and on. Thank you!

Thank you both so much for replying. I feel better knowing that it's ok to stay lit all the time!

My light remains illuminated whenever the heater is on. There is a separate light in the panel with the tank levels that will illuminate if there is a gas fault.
