I didn't know where to post these pics so chose here.

These were taken at Poole Knobs COE CG in LaVergne TN last month. It rained or drizzled most of the 2 weeks we were there.

We had a spot right on the water. There was a path down to the the waters edge. We saw ducks and a heron every day. The ducks were real little beggars.

Sundown on Percy Preist lake. I love sundown.

I was raining all over the area at that time. It gave me a lot of time to relax and read, something I don't always get to enjoy at home. I also took a few nice afternoon naps, listening to the rain pitterpatter on the roof. We took walks between the rain and actually it was nice on the whole. The stores in the town were empty - that too was nice. I wish we had brought the larger screen room though as the rain finally collapsed this little one.

Ohio is much colder than here. We'll winterize when we get back from Atlanta and Fla after Thanksgiving. In early April we'll prime her up to go again......

No, they're not open in March. They also close early for the season - Sept 30th or 31st. It's not a great CG for kids as there isn't anything for them to do there other than play in the water.

Yes it did. It's all level ground between home and Poole Knobs. The Zinger wasn't level so there was some scary bouncing and sea-sawing but I think we have the Zinger level now. The Astro is still too low in the rear. We're going to look at a used bigger van tomorrow. We're going to try to find something more powerful to pull Zinger with rather than put a lot of money into the old Astro.

TN is loaded with CGs. If you want one near Nashville, try Seven Points, another really nice COE CG but open more months than Poole Knobs. In fact the sites are easier to get in and out of at Seven Points.

I would echo the comments about Seven Points. It is a nice campground with easy access to Nashville.
