Replace Lead acid with Lithium ion

Will the distribution/converter/charger in my Zinger work effectively if I were to replace my lead acid battery with a lithium ion? I can find conflicting views on a search through the internet but no real substantive definite answer. Anyone every done so and had success?

I think to be safe, I would get the model of the converter an then call the manufacture and ask them. That way I would feel safe. Those lithium batteries aren't cheap. Neither is replacing the converter if you don't have to.

Thx Lloyd. I planned on that in the spring when trailer comes out of storage. Just looking ahead by asking here in the forum. I've found so much good info here and it seems as though many have tried just about everything.

Lithium Batteries are getting much cheaper. Holding off is not a bad idea.

I did a switch last year to LifePo4 Converter, manufacturers are coming out with replacement circiut boards to handle the diiferent charging profile. They are not expensive and instructions can be found on YouTube. Oem converter won't damage the battery but you'll never get full charge. I have 200ah battery and 400w of solar panel and can boondock, even in fall running furnace. Let me know if you need more info and I can send some links
