Warranty/Production Issue

I recently decided to add insulation to my 2013 Zinger 28bhs in the storage compartments under the beds. While I was inspecting the rear double bunk, I noticed the supports had about 3/4" of space between the support and side board. Do these separate under normal travel/use or did the literally cut corners building this? Since my service center is a hard hour away, I try to do reasonable repairs myself, but since this compromises the integrity of the lower bunk, I am not sure what to do. Any help....

I would take some pics and call Crossroads and send them to your contact.

Haven't noticed anything like that with mine.
